What leather do you use?
Full grain vegetable-tanned leather, hand-selected hide by hide. Only the top layer of the skin, with the natural grain intact, the kind of leather that develops a noble patina over decades instead of cracking or peeling.
Where are your pieces made?
Designed in New York, crafted in our own workshop in Guadalajara, Mexico. The same hand that starts a piece is the one that finishes it. No outsourcing.
What is DOHE Connect?
Our proprietary authentication system. Every piece carries a chip with a unique, permanent URL that lets you verify origin, meet the maker, and activate your lifetime digital guarantee. No app required. Any modern smartphone works. The chip itself stores only that URL, no personal or sensitive information, and any data tied to it is encrypted on our servers. How does the lifetime guarantee work?
If the leather or stitching fails under normal use, we repair it. If a piece is irreparable, we replace it with an equivalent from the current collection. The guarantee is transferable. It belongs to the object itself. Full terms on the Guarantee page.
How long does shipping take?
We're currently in pre-order for our first collection. Every order placed today ships starting October 1, 2026, when the first pieces leave the workshop. Once a piece ships, delivery takes 3–5 business days within Mexico and the United States, and 7–14 business days internationally.
What is your return policy?
Unused stock pieces can be returned within 60 days of delivery for a full refund. Made-to-order pieces are non-refundable once production begins. We cover return shipping for defects.
How should I care for my leather?
Keep it dry, away from direct sunlight, and condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather balm. The patina that develops with use is part of the design, so don't try to remove it. Minor scratches usually buff out with a soft cloth.
Will the color change over time?
Yes, and it should. Full grain leather darkens and deepens with use and exposure to light. Honey becomes amber, ocher becomes bronze, charcoal becomes obsidian. Two pieces from the same batch will look different after a year of different lives. That is the point.
Do you offer custom orders or personalization?
Every piece carries a DOHE Connect chip. When scanned, it shows the details of the piece — and can also display a personal message you choose. Physical hot-stamping isn't something we offer; the personalization is digital, tied to the piece itself.
Do you offer wholesale or corporate gifting?
Yes, for selected retailers and corporate clients. Write to concierge@doshermanos.mx with a brief description of your project.
